Mechanism
No clinically significant direct interaction. Amlodipine has minimal effect on CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein — the main routes of apixaban clearance.
Symptoms
The combination usually causes no specific symptoms. Each drug's individual side effects remain.
Management
No dose adjustment needed. In atrial fibrillation with hypertension, the combination is standard.
